Brisket. Tacos... Brisket. Tacos. Need I say more? Seriously amazing. No frills place with great prices.
This place is an absolute hidden gem of San Antonio. I lived 20+ year in San Antonio and only learned about this place after I moved. Now, it is a MUST VISIT every single time I am back in San Antonio. The brisket tacos are out of this world. Very good bean and cheese and bacon and egg tacos as well. Location is a pretty small, it fills up quick. Service is very good and the again the food is extremely delicious.
You can never! Go wrong here! Everything is good! Delicious no matter what you get ! The service is awesome! Very nice people! Like cheers everyone knows your name!
It's good but it's a tiny place. And I'm pretty sure the beans are from a can. So with that in mind it's pricey for canned beans. Small tacos too. The brisket one was delicious though. 🤷🏽♂️ Probably won't go back.
This place is legit. They have an astounding array of breakfast tacos. The brisket taco was a full-on slab of brisket just like this Texas girl loves. But the best was the Chili Con Carny Enchiladas 😛 slathered in meat juice. Very authentic, very pleasant folks.
The food was absolutely delicious! You have to try the bbq brisket taco. The breakfast was amazing and will be back again. The wait is well worth it
I have come here my whole life and so has my mom. It's the only place I eat enchiladas from. Will change your life!!
Best enchiladas because of chili con Carney. There is normally a wait, even for the to go but well worth it! My only wish is that restaurants would stop using styrofoam for to go orders, not only for environment but for our health. They placed hot food directly on it. I'm going to begin to take my own containers everywhere.
Taco's and coffee! I've been a few times now and can only seem to order bean and cheese taco's and brisket, egg and cheese taco's because I absolutely love them!
Brisket taco was good but not amazing.
My family and I have been eating here on Saturday afternoon for as long as I can remember. The quality of the food has never changed. It’s easily my favorite restaurant in San Antonio.
Hands down, best brisket in San Antonio. Their Tex Mex breakfasts can’t be beat, I normally go for the migas plates. You won’t be disappointed. My family and I have made it a ritual to go every Saturday morning. Pro Tip: swap papas for a basket of their crinkle cut fries.
Today i have to say.... It was LOUDDDD. Food was delicious but people let their kifs use devices with no considerstion that its a small restaurant and it's already got a lot of noise in it. If you're looking for a quieter place this is not it.
Took my husband there for the first time for their carne guisada and been n cheese tacos. He loved them!! I haven’t been there since my father passed but now I’m ready for more of their great food. This place was his favorite restaurant..
Small local spot just off of I-10. There will be a wait bit it’s totally worth it. The food is so yummy and delicious and there’s a bit of something to please everyone. The tortillas are awesome. Puerco (pork) is melt in your mouth delicious. They even have brisket tacos! Everything was good. Staff is friendly and welcoming too.
Small establishment but large on tasty food. The hot sauces are great really hot, I preferred the red one. Place fills up quick for lunch, you may have to wait for a table to free up. Friendly staff, food will not disappoint.
I googled for 'brisket tacos' and this place came up. I arrived about a little after 130 p.m and the place was packed! Parking was a little tight. The staff inside were all friendly. I even saw a Male employee run and open the door for a handicapped person who was having a hard time. I ordered my 2 brisket tacos to go and did not have to wait long. I'll be honest, i was expecting shredded brisket, but maybe you have to specify that. That being said..... BEST BRISKET EVER! I'm from west Texas and eat alot of brisket! This was moist and full of flavor! It was so amazing! If your looking for a good brisket taco, or just brisket in general.... go here! I cant speak for anything else.... but seeing as they were still packed at close to 2 on a Tuesday I'm assuming it's all good!
I have a friend going to UT Austin that will literally eat here 5 days a week when he comes home because the food is THAT good. The Mexican dinner plates are where it’s at. Amazing beans and rice, enchiladas, tamales, and crispy taco all for less than $10.
Delicious enchiladas and rice and beans the chili con carne was the bomb must try again I want to have a brisket taco or brisket not just next time great staff
The food is very good, I’d say one of the best in town. Beware of wait times, but don’t let that make you decide not to come here. Four such a small place, the staff are very nice, and when I first came, I knew I had to come back, and when I did, the staff was able to not only able to recognize me, but remember my previous order! If you have never been to a Mexican restaurant, they can walk you through the items on the menu. You will come out full and mad... that you can’t give a rating above five stars.Good, friendly environment. You can bring kids, but the larger the group, the longer the wait time. For two people, the wait time floor lunch on a Saturday was 45min. But it was well worth it.Definitely would keep coming back and keep recommending it.
Garcia's is a San Antonio treasure. Best food and Best service! This is our Saturday go to spot! We dine in and/or take out. Either way it's delicious 😋. Love Garcia's!!!❤️
Great food. Loved the homemade flour tortillas
Food delicious. Service adequate. Seating is cramped but ok considering how small the restaurant is. Chili on enchiladas very tasty!
Delicious brisket tacos and a great friendly staff💚
This is a quaint, neighborhood diner with an antiquated feel. People here are wholesome and the food fills you up!
Been a while. But I went for brisket taco. Reasonable prices. Excellent flour tortillas. Easy access VIA. Good service. Nice clean busy small with good din.
Great food. Great service! Next time we try the brisket, it was recommended by our waitress.
Really good food, friendly staff. But don't go when it's busy bc you will wait for a bit as the place is really small. Worth the wait though
Had lunch at Garcia's for the first time today and discovered a new Mexican Food fave!!I had the brisket nachos, and they were fantastic! The brisket is smoked, and were perfectly seasoned (salt and pepper). Some of the best brisket I've ever had anywhere. Wow!The tortillas for the nachos are house made, as is the guacamole and everything else! These were the best brisket nachos I've ever had, by quite a large margin too!!Very, very nice and professional staff!!
Amazing Tex Mex food in a very homestyle/diner setup. Prices are crazy good, staff is wonderful. Brisket is also delicious.
still the same very delicious I used to go there 20 years ago and still going there I'm glad there are reopen
Interesting little restaurant. Visited for the first time.I'd never heard of this place until a friend drove me over to it. I was surprised by the number of people coming and going from this small restaurant. The brisket taco with guacamole came highly recommended,so I decided to give it a try. Along with the tacos we ordered from brisket nachos an drinks. All our food came out fairly quick, we did have to correct an item, but it was taken care of quickly without issue. The brisket tacos while a bit small, had a ton of flavor, for not being a BBQ restaurant this place had some amazing brisket. I started to wonder if they were in the wrong business because it was better thanmany BBQ places I've been to.Everything I tried was great, and I would definitely return to try some more items. While not the cheapest of places to eat, if your looking for unique twists and amazing flavors this is a great place to try.
I went here and I was very uncomfortable. The lady there wasn’t very nice. I know that we are going through a pandemic but the lady made me feel like “ I was the cause” ( if you know want I mean ( ) I just felt disrespected that people still live in a world where color matters. First and last time going. Oh the food is ok.
Great food and great wait staff... Order came out real quick and we left fatter and happier. Lol
Food was really good. Portions were small in picadillo, carne guisada, and brisket tacos... Enchilada potion was good
Best enchiladas and soft tacos in this world. Go early or get there at the right time. Small place and it gets packed.
The brisket tacos were fantastic. Stuffed and fell apart to the touch. We had to wait for about 20 minutes but it was well worth the wait. I can see why their brisket is award winning. See you again soon!!!
Discovered this little gem from a TV series with Fluffy the comedian. Saw the brisket nachos and had to get some. They were spot on. Was able to call and order ahead. Service is great and staff is friendly. I would recommend this local joint.
Yet another great San Antonio Mexican food spot but in my opinion they take it up a notch with their brisket offerings!Of the other 2 I have reviewed I would save this one for last. You won't be disappointed!Gets plenty packed at lunch so come early. Also only open breakfast and lunch.
Omg never knew about this gem and I’ve lived here a long time. Glad my patient let me know. I’m hooked! Can’t stop going and I put it all over Facebook.
